Here's How to Make Apple Pie Cupcakes

Who doesn’t love bite size desserts, right? Introducing a timeless classic - Apple Pie Cupcakes! They're miniature pies baked in a muffin pan, with press-in crusts, delicious apple pie filling, and a simple crumble topping. And thanks to Home Hardware’s Mosaic baking line, creating this dessert is easy as pie!

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly spray the muffin pan with cooking spray.

  2. In a pan, melt butter, and add apples, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring often until apples are tender, about 10-12 minutes. Stir in lemon juice and set pan aside to cool.

  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, butter and mix until crumbly.

  4. Roll the pie crust out on a floured surface and cut at least 12 circles using a round cookie cutter.

  5. Carefully press each round into the muffin pan. Use your fingers to round the ends into a pie crust. Brush egg wash to the top edges of each cupcake.

  6. Divide the apple filling evenly ionto pie crusts in muffin cups then top with the crumble topping.

  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden around the edges. Remove from oven and let cool.

Once cooled, serve the apple pie cupcakes topped with whipped cream, ice cream, or icing topped with a drizzle of caramel sauce.
