Ingredients
For the mocktail:
1 bottle blue energy drink
1 cup lemon lime soda
1 tablespoon lime juice
2-3 drops purple food colouring
Ice cubes
1 cup purple sugar for rimming the glass
2 small lime rounds for garnish
Caution/Attention: Do not exceed the serving guidelines of your chosen caffeinated beverage. Not recommended for children, individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and individuals sensitive to caffeine. Do not mix with alcohol.
For the witches eyeballs:
10 canned lychees in syrup
10 fresh blueberries
Instructions
Drain the canned lychees, reserving the syrup for later use. Take one fresh blueberry for each lychee "eyeball. Carefully place a prepared blueberry, inside each hollow lychee. The blueberry should fit snugly inside the lychee, creating the effect of an eyeball. Prick few prepared eyeballs with skewer and few leave for decoration. Set aside.
Rim your glasses with purple sugar. To do this, wet the rim of each glass with a lime round and then dip it into a shallow plate filled with purple sugar. Set the glasses aside tot let the sugar stick.
In a mixing glass, combine the blue energy drink, soda, fresh lime juice, and few drops of purple food colouring. Stir gently to mix.
Fill the rimmed glasses with ice cubes and leftover lychee eyeballs.
Carefully pour the prepared mocktail mixture into the glasses, ensuring not to disturb the sugar rim.
Garnish each glass with a lime round on the rim and add a paper straw for an extra spooky touch. Serve immediately!
Variations
Glow-in-the-Dark Magic: Add a little magic to your mocktail by using tonic water instead of soda. Tonic water contains quinine, which can make your mocktail glow under black light, creating a mesmerizing effect for your Halloween party.
Mysterious Mist: Use dry ice (food-grade) to create a spooky mist effect. Place a small piece of dry ice at the bottom of the glass and pour your mocktail mixture over it. Be sure to handle dry ice with care and provide instructions to your guests on safe consumption.
Witch’s Brew Punch Bowl: Turn your individual mocktails into a communal punch bowl. Combine the blue energy drink, lemon lime soda, lime juice, and purple food colouring in a large cauldron or punch bowl. Add frozen purple grapes or blueberries for an extra chilling effect. Float multiple lychees and blueberries eyeballs on top for a truly enchanting brew.
Remember to experiment and have fun with these creative variations to make your Halloween mocktail a memorable and eerie experience for your guests.
