In this issue I have the opportunity of reviewing the Milwaukee® M18 Fuel™ 6 Gallon Wet/Dry Vacuum Kit.

I admit I was looking forward to reviewing this vacuum from the moment I heard I would be able to review it. The unit did not let me down. This 6-gallon wet dry vac comes with impressive features such as built-in hose storage, on-board vac accessory storage, rugged, heavy-duty removeable caster assembly with locks, crush and twist-resistant vacuum hose, and many more standard features.

Milwaukee® claims this vacuum will outperform 3.5 peak HP wet/dry vacuums. With the patented POWERSTATE™ Brushless Motor with optimized components and an M18™ REDLITHIUM™ HD120 battery and charger (sold separately), I was able to complete a wide range of testing with a real-world runtime of almost 30 minutes. Milwaukee® claims up to 47 minutes of run time and 1,300 square feet of light debris per charge.

This vacuum comes complete with vacuum filter, a crevice tool, utility nozzle and two pieces of extension wand. As previously stated, the hose is high quality compared to my personal shop vac, which should ensure a long life of rugged performance. The head unit allows for both vacuuming and blowing, with large ports that are easily accessible. The wet features include a built-in float cage that shuts the vac down when the tank is full of liquid. They recommend using a foam filter to optimize wet performance (available separately), Part Number 49-90-1990.

Speaking of accessories, the options for this vac are almost endless. There are a large variety of nozzles and attachments, filters, and even an accessory storage solution which attaches via the built-in storage tie downs on the head unit. There are tank options and interchangeable motor heads. This Milwaukee can be built to perform almost any task.
