The concrete floor in your garage or basement doesn’t have to be a drab, dull grey. A fresh coat of paint can make both the floor and the entire space come alive. You’ll need to do some paint prep first. Use a scraper with an extension pole to remove hardened gunk, and a concrete degreaser to lift up oil. Then fill any cracks with concrete crack filler. Priming before painting is a must to ensure paint adhesion, although self-priming floor paints are also available. For your paint, you’ll want to use a good floor enamel or epoxy as they can take a ton of abuse. Once dry, apply a concrete sealer overtop to ensure long-lasting results.
Porch & Floor paint can be used on wood porches, stairs and floors as well as concrete. The modified alkyd urethane formulation is self-priming, low odour, and easy to apply. It’s also tough, durable and extremely weather-resistant. You’ll need to sand the surface first with an orbital sander, then sweep, vacuum, and wipe it down with a damp cloth.
