A simple-to-create sign is a lovable way to remember and celebrate the endearing meaning behind Valentine’s Day all year long.

Here's How
Decide what size you would like your sign to be. Pictured signs are roughly 1/2” x 1’ x 5’ and we used 1/2” x 4”x 8’ pine.
Cut
boards to the chosen length and glue them together to the desired
height (and thickness if the wood was actually ½ depth). Hold together
using pipe clamps.
Once completely dry, sand or scrape off excess glue and sand rough edges.
Paint
the main area of the sign and allow to dry completely before the next
step. For the white sign we used BeautiTone White Dew FD065-0 for the
body and Caitlyn A13-5-1418-0 for the saying. For the dark rich blue
sign we used BeautiTone Dark Sky Preserves NPC10-3 for the body and
White Dew FD065-0 for the saying.
Print your desired sayings on
paper in the font of your choice and then use carbon transfer or
graphite paper to trace their outlines onto your sign.
Use paint and an artist brush to finish your sayings.
Once dried, sand to achieve a rustic farmhouse look.
SWEET SQUARES
These adorable little odes to Cupid are wonderfully easy to create with minimal supplies.
Place them oh so casually on a shelf, tabletop or mantel, flip your hair with unabashed panache and declare it the best Valentines ever.
