Here's How to install under cabinet lighting.

Under cabinet lighting provides bright task lighting just where you need it, adding illumination that not only aids with food preparation but also adds a sense of drama and finish to the entire room.

Questions to ask before getting started: 
  • Will the hardware box be wired directly into your electrical? 
  • Will the hardware box be plugged into an outlet? 
Note: Wired directly, must be in accordance to local electrical codes, by a licensed electrician. 

Grab the following materials: 

Preparation

1. Turn the power off from the electrical panel.
2. Measure the under cabinet space.
3. Draw a diagram for fixture placement.
4. Lay out all fixtures, cords, and joiners.

Installation

1. Position light 1” from valance.
2. Use a guide line to install fixtures.
3. Using the guided line, install mounting brackets.
4. Click the light fixture into the mounting brackets
5. Plug the connector cord into the hardware box.
6. Use a connector cord for corner fixtures.
7. User a joiner to connect fixtures in a straight line.
8. Once all fixtures are installed, turn on the power and recheck all the connections.
 
Great work! You can now enjoy your new under cabinet lighting.
