Here’s How to Build a Reading Nook
If you want to create a tranquil space perfect for reading, our DIY reading nook project is just your vibe. The design is simple and can be customized to suit your space – and your taste. Have fun and make it your own.
Steps
1. Gather all the materials and tools for your project.
2. Measure, mark and cut:
For the bookcase:
(5) 13 ½” pine board shelving
(2) 54 ½” pine board shelving
(1) ¼” Hardboard: 54 ½” x 15”
3. Measure the wall opening to ensure a perfect fit; this will determine the size of your shelf. Note: If you don’t have a wall cut out, simply put your bookcase against the wall.
