Here's what you need:
1" x 10" x 8' Spruce
Beauti-Tone Interior/Exterior Latex Paint Eggshell Finish – sample cans in the shades:
Powdered Donuts WB024-0 (white)
Jungle Adventure C33-1-0739-3 (green)
Here's How:
Using a chop saw, cut the 1" x 10" x 8' spruce into the 3 different sized sections: 3', 2', and 1'. Afterward, sand and smooth all the edges.
Next, paint the pieces of wood using festive shades of Beauti-Tone Paint. Powdered Donuts (WB024-0), Simon Says (A20-1-1449-3), and Jungle Adventure (C33-1-0739-3) create perfect Christmas tones.
After the paint dries, it’s time to turn them into presents. Add ribbon vertically around the length of the entire board and hot glue it together and to the wood. Then add the horizontal ribbon and hot glue, overlapping the vertical ribbon on the back. Using a small piece of wire, cinch the ribbon on the front of the present.
Cut a few pieces of greenery from garland and hot glue it behind the ribbon. Secure a bow with additional wire to the front of the present, which hides all the glue and wire.
That's it! This was one of my favourite and easiest projects to date! This project can easily be customized to fit your seasonal décor year after year by simply switching out the paint colour and ribbon to match your décor theme.
