Here’s How to Throw a Fabulous Galentine’s Day Party
Valentine’s Day can be more than just celebrating love with your partner. It can also be about celebrating the supportive girlfriends in your life. So I gathered together some of my besties and threw an epic Galentine’s Day party! I found all my serving items at my local Home Hardware. From the food to the décor to most excellent company, it was a memorable celebration. Here’s How I did it.
Here’s What You Need:
Here's How to Do it:
Step 1: Selecting the Menu
Fondue is very nostalgic and brings a fun social aspect to any party. It’s easy to prep, requires minimal work, and it’s also inexpensive. Plus, anything dipped in chocolate tastes amazing! There are many different kinds of fondue machines out there, but I chose this showstopping Salton 3-Tier Chocolate Fountain Fondue Pot. It definitely made a statement, and it also doubled as a table centerpiece. The dipping options are endless. I went fresh-fruit-first with some delicious strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, grapes, pineapple, and apples. Later, I followed up with pretzels, marshmallows, cake, and bananas. I used this great Kitchen Basics Tidbit Serving Set to serve all my dippers. The little dishes helped create an intimate setting, and the beautiful bamboo tray made for easy kitchen-to-table transport.
Step 2: Setting the Table
You don’t need fancy China to create a fabulous table setting, so this classic Brilliant Urban White Porcelain Set fit the bill perfectly. Simple and chic with a modern flat profile, it’s ideal for both daily use and small dinner parties. To give my table a little flare I added festive napkins for colour and topped them off with carnations—my favourite Valentine’s Day flowers. Instead of using fondue forks, I jazzed things up a bit more with this gorgeous InStyle Fairmount Gold Flatware Set. It immediately brought a touch of refined elegance to the table setting.
Step 3: Choosing Refreshments
Wine is an excellent choice to serve with chocolate fondue. A Riesling, Muscat, or other dessert wines pairs well with the distinct milk chocolate flavours. I served my wine in these cute InStyle Iridescent Stemless Wine Glasses. I love the unique shape, and the iridescent colours give off the perfect feminine touch for Valentine’s Day.
Step 4: Enhancing the Decor
I added a few more décor pieces to tie the whole look together. Balloons and flowers are Valentine’s Day staples, so I snuck in some heart-shaped balloons and pink roses! I also scattered some shiny red paper hearts all over the table, which were super easy and quick to make at home.
I hope this inspires you to celebrate all the supportive girlfriends in your life. Have a wonderful Galentine’s Day full of lots of LOVE!
