Whether you’re hitting the open road or tooling around town, you want your vehicle to look its best this summer. First step (for handy DIYers): repair any dings, dents or other minor winter damage with
body filler or fibreglass resin. Otherwise, go right to the
buckets and
cloths and do a thorough car wash with a quality
car soap. Use a
chamois to remove excess rinse droplets. Once dry, apply
car polish over the entire body to remove all surface marks and dullness. Then rinse off any residue, allow to dry, and bring out the shine with a good
car wax and buff job. Don’t forget about the wheels! Some
rim cleaner and
tire foam will really make them pop.
